Sam Jackson's Afro!
Any web site that displays its download progress in the form of a burning spliff is alright with me. When said site also features a trailer for a Samuel L. Jackson-voiced, afro-clad ninja warrior, then I'm really interested. When the trailer itself rocks as hard as the "Afro Samurai" trailer does.... well, then I'm beyond stoked. This is the same footage that debuted at Comic-Con and I was pissed I missed it then, but I'm ecstatic they put it up online now (why WB hasn't done the same thing with 300 is beyond me). The animated series begins this fall on Spike TV, who has long promised great content (remember the supposed triumphant return of "Ren and Stimpy") with little return. Let's hope they treat "Afro" a little better than some of their other properties. Click here to head to the official site and check out the absolutely gorgeous animation on display in "Afro Samurai." Definitely something to keep our eyes on.
