No more Idiocracy?
In their latest movie news round-up, MTV dropped the thoroughly disappointing news that OFFICE SPACE overlord Mike Judge's upcoming comedy IDIOCRACY has been "postponed indefinitely" with just about three weeks left before it was slated to be released (September 1st). Not only that but, according to them, there are rumors that should it achieve a theatrical release, it would only be a limited run (and likely only in limited cities). It's hard to imagine that the film, which stars Luke Wilson as a man thrown into cryogenic storage who awakes after a millennia into a population so dumbed down that he becomes the smartest person in the world, would be so monumentally bad that Fox is afraid to release it theatrically. Or perhaps Judge is a perfectionist who wants as much time to tweak the film as possible. Whatever it is, let's hope we get to see this one at some point. Get more on this and lots more by clicking on Wilson's bling below. Thanks to Steve for the heads up.
