Strike Back below!

If those blue eyes on new James Bond Daniel Craig on this new poster for CASINO ROYALE aren't the shiniest you've ever seen, clearly you've been exposed to a much wider array of shiny blue eyes than your average bloke. Or, you live in the real world where people's eyes aren't photoshopped to supernova brightness. And if you've wondering what Bond girl Eva Green aka Vesper Lynd is thinking, it's "Mama mia, Ima gonna get him in the sack and pumpa his dangle." Why does she sound like an Italian caricature reminiscent of Super Mario Bros., you ask? Well, give the poster a thorough perusal and the answers will come to you. Promise. CASINO ROYALE opens November 17th.

Extra Tidbit: The first paperback edition of "Casino Royale" was retitled "You Asked For It" for its US printing, despite Ian Fleming suggesting "The Double-O Agent" and "The Deadly Gamble".

The first poster that came out with Craig at the poker table is much better.

wait and see
dispite what people are saying, i am actually fairly keen to see this. this franchise has, in my opinion, been needing something to give it a bit of zing and i think that the direction that has been taken, might just be the right one. Time will tell.

It's not the head I'm worried about...
The only thing that tells that it is a James Bond movie are the small 007 logos placed throughout. This poster looks like a standard action flick for the uninitiated. Whereas the traditional Bond poster usually featured the well-known Bond pose(you see it in every 007 DVD cover), a half-naked babe and explosions in the background.

I understand this is sort of like a reintroduction to the James Bond franchise, and the trailers made a very good indication that this is not your average Bond flick... this poster however clearly misses the mark.

Headstrip
Classic example of a poor headstrip, making his head too small. Either they couldn't get Craig for another poster, or they didn't like his expression, but the headstrip looks like all kinds of shit. Still the movie looks good.

What's up with that poster?
Daniel Craig's head looks photo-shopped in that poster.

His Eyes...
I hear ya, Omar. He looks like one of the desert-people from DUNE or something.

This poster looks pretty lame, but the trailer actually looks cool. I'm a big Brosnan-as-Bond fan, but in all fairness, we gotta give Craig (star of suck ass-kickers as LAYER CAKE, MUNICH, ROAD TO PERDITION, and ELIZABETH) his fair day in court, so to speak.
