Is it bad that I'm already running out of things to say when writing about CASINO ROYALE? What hasn't been said already? Not sure about Craig, blah, blah, blah.... The verdict is out, blah, blah... The last trailer looked good, blah, blah... My only comment that I'll make now is that no matter how cool this film may be, it'll never be as cool as whatever version of CASINO ROYALE Quentin Tarantino pitched to producers. Now that would've bene something to see. Alas, we're here with a Bond film that will probably be enjoyable but nothing too far out of the ordinary for a Bond film. In any event, the Japanese get a peachy keen new poster for CASINO ROYALE that I dig a little bit more than any of the US ones I've seen so far. Check it out below.

It's a cool poster. But personally I prefer the US blue hued posters.

And as for Quentin? While I'm not the biggest fan I do admire his films (I prefer it when his scripts are directed by other directors) and judging from his stint on CSI he can easily mold his style to fit specific subject matter/established styles. It would've been an interesting experiment but I'm not so sure ...

I'd much rather see a Fincher Bond.

Yeah Mike... Let Tarantino do it. Oh wait, let him present it instead. No wait! Just let him talk about the idea of making a Bond film. No wait, he's done that already. That's all the man does, talk. And he's an overrated filmmaker to say the least.

Better than Bobblehead
As much as I can't stand the persistent highlighting of Craig's blue eyes, this is a much better poster than the Bobblehead Bond the US got.

I think it's a good think Tarantino never got to make Casino Royale. It wouldn't have worked - too talky and too glib. Besides, Tarantino's too busy "presenting" movies now anyway.

I actually was one of the people who thought Quentin Tarantino's homages and such needed to stay away from Bond. They're just two things that don't mix in my mind. And that is a pretty sweet poster, but can we please stop photoshopping Craig's eyes? Jesus, you're almost making him look like Elijah Wood.

My only real complaint on this Bond is if it's the "beginning" then why is the Judi Dench M in it since she didn't actually become M until Goldeneye? They made a deal about the new M being a woman in that movie so shouldn't the M in CASINO be a guy? And does this mean mean we're going to have John Cleese's tech guy instead of Q (I understand the blasphemy of that statement, being that to have...
