I ain't gonna lie to ya: I'm a huge fan of director David Fincher. A few years ago, I wrote a book entitled "The 50 Coolest Movies of All-Time" and included 2 of his films in it. Two of his other films were in the runner-ups. Seriously, the man makes great movies!! His next film is entitled ZODIAC and even though we had an outside look at its quad poster yesterday, today the good folks at Paramount graced JoBlo.com with the exclusive first look at its official one-sheet and I'm diggin' it...ominous, moody and all that cool stuff. In case you're not yet aware, the film opens wide on January 19, 2007 and I for one am ready and jacked to check it out. In Fincher I trust.

Extra Tidbit: Director David Fincher is one of the latest in a line of helmers who no longer wants anything to do with "video". More on that HERE.

Tagline refers to the fact that these detectives "lost their lives" by spending a decade devoting every waking minute to catching this guy.

Goberg makes a solid point below. "From The Director Of Se7en and Panic Room." Did someone forget about "Fight Club." Granted, "Panic Room" made way more money than "Fight Club," but in terms of popularity - "Fight Club" wins, hands down.

But at least it wasn't "From The Director Of Alien 3." I would've gone crazy. :)

That's a beautiful, yet very dark, somewhat creepy poster. In one word: awesome. I definitely want that hanging on my wall.

Anyway, I've been pumped for "Zodiac" since it was first announced that David Fincher would be helming it. I wish its Fall/Winter 2006 release date would have stayed put, as I hate the idea of having to wait until January to see it. And January, when all the oscar contenders get wider releases and the utter Hollywood crap is released, seems like a poor month to release a Fincher film. This has got Fall/Winter written all over it.

Oh well. I can't wait.

Very nice-looking poster design :)

It's been a long time between Fincher flicks, so this is one to keep tabs on.
