Saw 4 Don't tell me you didn't see this coming. Considering SAW III is about as guaranteed a box office success as any film can be, you had to expect that we'd be getting down to discussing future installments sooner rather than later. Of course, when we actually see a sequel will depend on how much of a success the film is and if it matches or (more likely) tops the success of SAW II, you can bet your pasty white ass we'll be seeing SAW IV next October. In fact, Tobin Bell's apparently been saying that he's signed on for both SAW IV and SAW V with the folks over at Bloody Disgusting revealing that there's already multiple writers working on story arcs for a fourth and possibly fifth installment. Considering how fast they're producing these films, if they keep this up, the question will be whether director Darren Bousman, Shawnee Smith and Tobin Bell will even make it to a fifth installment. For now, we can enjoy SAW III when it's released October 27th.

Source: Bloody Disgusting

Extra Tidbit: Wouldn't it be great if they're saving the sixth installment for a JIGSAW VS. JASON-type mash-up? Because we know how much everybody loves those.

I wouldn't mind watching another 10 SAW films as long as they keep the quality. I mean, if other filmmakers are planning a Scary Movie 5, the guys at LionsGate should plan a SAW X!

Good God
First of all, after seeing the first Saw I was surprised that a second movie was going to be made. Maybe the rest of the US viewed a different cut of the movie, but what I saw was a big fat disappointment. (don’t show me a device that could tear someone’s head in two and not freaking tear someone’s head in two. you might as well take a dump on my coffee and call it hot chocolate) Then I see tha...
First of all, after seeing the first Saw I was surprised that a second movie was going to be made. Maybe the rest of the US viewed a different cut of the movie, but what I saw was a big fat disappointment. (don’t show me a device that could tear someone’s head in two and not freaking tear someone’s head in two. you might as well take a dump on my coffee and call it hot chocolate) Then I see that they have gone on to make a third and now maybe four and five. What? Are you kidding me? Are you freaking kidding me? Saw one had to be the single most insulting “horror” movie I have ever seen and I’ve seen “Vicious”. But I guess this “series” is a testament to movie goers need for uninspired, thoughtless, and just plain vanilla tripe. I am dumb founded trying to understand the appeal of these movies. There is grade school gore, twistless twists, and the most insipid characters I have ever been subjected to. Please stop this garbage now. If you are a horror fan, do not go see this movie. Pull out a classic (Evil Dead, Dead Alive, Pieces) or try on a new school flick (Feast, The Janitor, Descent) but for goodness sakes do not spend any of your hard earned cash on these stupid, stupid movies.

I dunno.
I mean, I never thought they wouldn't make more sequels to Saw, but even if Saw III is a huge-ass mega-hit, I think they should take one year off to let ideas gestate and stuff, and to let the nature of the trilogy set in.

Ugh
Considering there's almost no chance that part 3 will do any better at suspense, mystery, entertainment, violence and gore than the first 2 steaming crap piles, part 4 is a terrible idea.

I can't take anyone who hails the Saw, um, series as anything but candified, Horror/mystery for Dummies seriously.

And jigsaw could die. he really wasn't pulling any strings in II. His noble minions will carry this franchise into the year 2020.

You gotta settle down tsukasa13. Even if Jigsaw would ever die... it's a horror movie. Do killers in horror movies ever die? No, and second off how do you not Tobin Bell is just saying that to pull everyone's leg? Hell Raimi did it with Venom in SM3.

Possibly Maybe
I loved the original, and haven't yet seen the second, but I'm thrilled that it will probably continue.

I like the ideas of getting writers for the next movies already. Getting a head start is always a good thing.

of course I knew it would come up. I've thought about stuff for future stories but can't think of shit. I know these writers are of course certianly good, defentially not bad. The thing though here is, is that how more extreme will they go till they can go no more, because already the movies are bloodier as they go, how far will it be till no more. The thing though here is, is that how more extreme will they go till they can go no more, because already the movies are bloodier as they go, how far will it be till no more. Maybe some different approach could happen in the future, that would be more narrative. That could work.
