Spike Lee Spike Lee will be teaming up with Universal and porcupine-coiffed super-producer Brian Grazer, through his Imagine Entertainment, to direct L.A. RIOTS, a drama based on the infamous racially-fueled riots that erupted in Los Angeles in 1992 after a jury acquitted four white police officers who had been videotaped beating black motorist Rodney King. Writer John Ridley (UNDERCOVER BROTHER) has come onboard to pen the screenplay with all parties interested in having a working draft before the entire Hollywood community shuts down completely for the holidays. When asked about the film, Lee mentioned "This isn't about some cavalcade of stars, but rather a truthful and realistic examination of what happened, what the ramifications were and where we are now, in hopes that something like this doesn't happen again." Lee is coming off the HBO documentary "When the Levees Broke" and is currently working on an INSIDE MAN sequel.

Extra Tidbit: Lee directed the pilot episode of the James Woods-starring CBS drama "Shark".

Fucking racist
Can this man involve himself in a project that does not out and out rant about race? He constantly points the finger about racism towards blacks but yet he himself is a racist. That's besides the fact that , c'mon let's be realistic , the man has made very few good films.

Fuck Spike Lee
Spike Lee is probably the most racist director ever. Everything bad is pretty much the white man's fault in his eyes. Do the Right Thing is one of the most overrated films of all time. And although I really enjoyed Inside Man, why do we need a sequel?

WOW!
Would you look at that Spike Lee doing another whitey is bad movie. I don't know about anyone else, but I am tired of apologising for being white

To tell you the truth, I've heard enough about the LA riots to last me a lifetime, I don't need a movie. All cops are racist, even the black ones, and they beat black people for fun, we know.

All Spike Lee has managed to do with all his movies is make me feel bad for being white.
