It's official. 1991 Me just saw these pics below and pitched a major tent. Below, courtesy of our Irish scooper friend "Batfag" (who apparently has some serious DC bias), comes production art for three upcoming villians from Marvel films. Dr. Doom from FANTASTIC FOUR: THE RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER and Venom and Green Goblin II from SPIDER-MAN 3. No matter how each of these movies turn out, this has to appeal to all the former and current fanboys out there on some level. I look at these pictures and I think how lucky we are to even have movies that feature Dr. Doom, Venom and Green Goblin. I especially like what they've done with Dr. Doom. Venom looks pretty bad-ass too but I'm more curious to see what they do with him in motion; how he moves, talks, etc. Green Goblin II, as I'll call him, is...different but understandable given the circumstances. It's a homemade costume Harry made so it shouldn't look professional. Enjoy the pics below and strike back with your thoughts!

Theory on Doom
If you look at the picture of Doom closely, you can see that his chest and abdomen are a different shade of colour, darker and less metallic. So, my theory ist he is wearing some kind of chest piece over his organic armor with the birds on it. Why should he suddenly wear a body armor when it was clearly established in the first movie that his skin turns into metal? This would also explain the c...
If you look at the picture of Doom closely, you can see that his chest and abdomen are a different shade of colour, darker and less metallic. So, my theory ist he is wearing some kind of chest piece over his organic armor with the birds on it. Why should he suddenly wear a body armor when it was clearly established in the first movie that his skin turns into metal? This would also explain the closed mouth. What you see is actually his real face, now metallic and imprinted with the masks outline from the events of FF1. A nice twist on the original origin, though I still doubt the movie will better than the turd that was the first part. I think that the comparison with X1 is not really accurate as well, since the first X-Movie established solid characters and relationships, which Tim Storys rape of FF clearly didn't.

Outrageous!!! These models look insane!!! If I was ten years younger I probobly would have shit my pants. Can't wait for S3 - not real big on FF eventhough DOOM looks sick. I give it two big toes up!!!

That's what I was saying, lmao. I know some people didn't like the first GG suit, but after a while it grew on us and actually looked cool too. But what Harry did to it just downright disgusts me. It looks like Spider-Man killed some snowboarder's dad and now he want's revenge, lmao.

I have zero faith in FF when it came out, so seeing it's outcome did not disapoint me one bit. But I don't know, this new one might actually be pleasable. Who knows?

WOW!
Doom's look in absolutely outstanding! I wouldn't change a thing. Everyone knows that Spider-Man 3 will be good but I think people are in for a shock when they realize how good Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer is going to turn out.

Venom looks better then the toys of him but i always said he'd be better in motion. Goblin it hink even though he's diff is cool and well, doom is doom, so no worries there. i like it alot!

They all look great, despite what people say about Goblin 2. I still like his look. I really hope they show Doom on a CNN "breaking news" kind of report showing him giving some kind of a speech as the new ruler of Latveria. That would kick ass! Even if it does happen in the last ten minutes of the movie, like it probably will, it would still be a great cliffhanger!

HELLS YEAH! I'm liking what I'm seeing... Kudos to all involved, especially Venom and Doom.

I'm not so sure about Harry's snowboard looking thing though... He does look just a liiiitle Power Ranger-ish. But for the most part, his outfit looks to be a good and practical combat suit. Nice stuff.

You bring up a good point Mike on wondering how Venom will move, talk etc. From what Raimi talked about at Comic-Con, Venom's movements were a challenge to bring to the screen. But then he said how he will move like an animal, while maintaining those spider-estic qualities.

I saw the Goblin and Venom pics a while back, but this is the first I've seen of Doom (and probably the last, considering how much i disliked the FF movie).

Venom and Harry look good, I think. Venom in particular, I'm glad they didn't deviate too much from the original look. And Harry... well, I'll be happy with anything so long as he isn't wearing purple booties. His outfit h...

Venom and Harry look good, I think. Venom in particular, I'm glad they didn't deviate too much from the original look. And Harry... well, I'll be happy with anything so long as he isn't wearing purple booties. His outfit has definitely got an "extreme snowboarder" vibe, but it looks cool enough.

Dr. Doom looks alright for the most part, but of all the design elements from the comic books to carry over... why the little skirt!?

I'm not into the snowboard glider for Green Gobiln II, but I dont think they went with that design for the movie anyway.

Doom is cool, but I wish they'd get a new actor for him in the movies because the guy who plays him now was a horrible choice by the casting director.

Venom looks awesome, no surprise there. I hope he's more agile in the movie and less of a hulk...

Btw, that's not even the new Green Goblin. It's some stupid sidetrack that never existed in the comics.

Please don't think this is a conclusion! I'm still hoping for a SM4. :D

Anyway, both Venom and Dr. Doom look really cool, but I never really liked the Green Goblin outfit when I first saw it. Maybe it will catch onto me when the movie is released, but so far I'm not taken away by it.

Awesome, I'm so excited for Spiderman 3. I will admit that at first I was a fanboy who was like "THEY CHANGED THE STORYLINE!! WHY!?" But now, especially after getting into the "Ultimate" Marvel Comics I can respect all the differences. Good is good. Nuff' Said.
