Jessica Biel Despite expressing a desire to be taken off casting directors' "Incredibly Hot Eye Candy Alternatives To Jessica Alba" list, Jessica Biel isn't one to turn down a hefty paycheck. Suffering through a filthy indie production to garner an Oscar nod is all well and good but when heaps of studio-based comic or video game adaptation money is thrown at you, you do the right thing - you take it. As Jason Statham said when Uwe Boll seduced him into DUNGEON SIEGE with the intoxicating aroma of Eau de Argent, "how bad could it be?" Biel may soon find out as, according to the Hispanic Lotharios at "Latino Review", she's likely to land the role of Chun Li in Fox's upcoming attempt to succeed where many others have failed in making an even remotely coherent movie based on the popular fighting game "Street Fighter". Their attempt at something resembling plot coherence will apparently be accomplished by focusing the story on the petite, speed-kicking "Street Fighter" princess. What's more, the film is apparently on the fast track as it's scheduled for release in 2008. Read more about this and news about Robert Rodriguez possibly directing a "Jetsons" adaptation HERE. Isn't Chun Li Asian?
Despite loving everything that Raul Julia ever acted in, Street Fighter was an absolutely painful moment in American history (which I paid to go see).

But my goodness is Jessica Biel attractive.
For her, I'd give a new viewing a shot.


Just keep anyone named Van Damme, Seagal, or Blanks away from the movie and we're good.

Maybe nobody thought to actually PLAY the video game before jumping on a movie attempt (...once again) but Chun Li is CHINESE! Last time I checked, Jessica Biel is not. That's dumb.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA this made me laugh so loud i almost got yelled at by my boss. :( and yes, she's not asian so why would they cast her as Chun Li...will they change the name? she is hot in that first pic (and the second pic really)

A chun-li movie COULD be good if they get a good director NOT uwe boll. And why cast Biel, When chun-li is asian. This makes no fucking sence. I would love to see marvel comics make a she-hulk movie and cast Biel as her. That pic of her in the yellow dress is HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Desperate anyone?
Please tell me that Jessica Biel isn't that desperate as to get a role like this. I mean by the sounds of it, a Street Fighter movie is guranteed crap unless by some miracle you've got either Christopher Nolan/Bryan Singer directing and maybe even Frank Miller doing something bout the script.

Biel should get more "Illusionist" type roles but I don't think it's her fault that cast...

The reason they wont restart the franchise is becasue the original guy who started the franchise is no longer with Capcom so their will never ever be a new street fighter. :( so sad... oh yeah.. this sucks.. she aint even asian. Lets make Ryu black while were at it..hollyweird at it again.

Uhhhhh.....
She's a pretty girl and all, and I'm sure she can kick high and all that. But... She's not Chun Li. Besides the obvious (she doesn't look ANYTHING like the character, Chun Li WAS Asian wasn't she?) It's a bad idea all together. I'd still probably go see it though. Yes, I AM that lame. And just for kicks, I think the first Street Fighter movie was one of the worst things I've ever seen. I...

Funny, I thought Chun Li was Chinese, not Californian. Coming soon....Ben Affleck and Matt Damon as Ryu and Ken, Samuel L Jackson as Bison, and Vin Diesel as Guile. (okay that last MIGHT work, but I really hope not).

She probably has the best ass in Hollywood right now, but when it's all said and done - SHE'S NOT ASIAN. How about the go-to cutie for Asian girls Zhiyi Zang or Zang Zhiyi or whatever the hell. Besides, Ryu should be the main character. Whatever, this will blow anyways. Still love the game though. Speaking of which, WHY THE FUCK doesn't CAPCOM re-start the franchise on next-gen?
