Just when I think it can’t get any better, I’m presented with the opportunity to meet the brilliant, intense and visceral Christian Bale. How can I refrain from feeling anything but utter excitement for a handsome actor with a massive sex appeal? After all, he made a hell-u-va charismatic killer in AMERICAN PSYCHO and revived a tough Batman with a fierce performance in BATMAN BEGINS. Simply put, the man is on fire!
The fearless badass journeys into the Thai jungle for RESCUE DAWN to re-enact the great escape of Dieter Dengler. Bale displays an unimaginable tenacity as he gets down and dirty to embody the only American to ever break out of a POW camp in the dangerous Loatian Jungle. I was overjoyed to meet the intoxicating Bale who sat down to talk about his brave adventure into the wild, swimming with reptiles, eating larva and working with the daring director, Werner Herzog.
