The footage that we saw of BABYLON AD a while back was sweet as hell, enough so that I've actually gotten a little excited about the triumphant return of Vin Diesel. Therefore it's a little sad that the first poster for the movie has been released and it looks a little weak to me. Hopefully (if there isn't going to be another poster), this one featuring Diesel as Bono won't hurt the box office, because the man both needs and deserves a commercial hit. The plot of the film is: Veteran-turned-mercenary Thoorop (Diesel) takes the high-risk job of escorting a woman from Russia to China. Little does he know that she is host to an organism that a cult wants to harvest in order to produce a genetically modified Messiah. The film is directed by Mathieu Kassovitz, the man responsible for GOTHIKA.



Also, the lovely Janine over at VinXperience let me know that it had been hinted to her that our first promo for the movie might go live in December. I'm gonna skip over this poster and wait for that.

Extra Tidbit: Vin Diesel's first film, STRAYS (which he wrote and directed) has finally gotten a DVD release of January 15th next year.

The bright white light looks like someone walking... Either way, I collect and mount great movie posters and this looks to be one I skip by pretty quickly in stacks. Reminds me of that terrible Flight Plan poster, tho a bit more dynamic.

Personally, I think the poster looks cool...

If it's anything like the Riddick films, I think I'll enjoy myself...

Diesel's face isn't the problem, it's that super-bright background. I think I just went a little blind looking at it.
