The Great Debaters poster
Apparently Denzel Washington is playing an Asian man in his new movie THE GREAT DEBATERS. Call me crazy, but that’s what it looks like on the poster BELOW. Also, I’ve never quite seen two stars’ names advertised on a poster in this manner before, with Denzel grabbing the major billing up top (obv, he directed it too!) and Forest Whitaker still grabbing above-the-title billing too. It’s strange to see two prominent names on the poster so far away from each other, both African-American Academy Award winners. DEBATERS is based on the true story an all-black debate team that beat Harvard at the 1935 national champions. Oops, I just ruined the ending! Sorry! DEBATERS is out on Jesus Christ’s b-day.
