Last year, UNDERWORLD guy Len Wiseman was attached to a remake of ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK and an adaptation of the videogame GEARS OF WAR. Both those pricey projects were at the now-crumpled New Line and neither will be entering reality anytime soon, so needless to say he's been making other plans.

Those plans include SHELL GAME, which is not a TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES sequel. The futuristic action flick involves "a detective who is faced with a moral dilemma as he investigates the dangerous black-market business of immortality."

Wiseman claims it's both a "passion project" and a "huge film", but the financial success of LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD has basically given him a blank -- or at least significant -- check for his budget. Personally I think Wiseman's style might be well suited for a sci-fi environment, where kinetic action and an excess of blue filters could be more fitting.

Extra Tidbit: Site policy dictates that all posted pictures of Wiseman must include his wife. Hey, that's what he gets for marrying Kate Beckinsale. There are worse problems to have.

Not onboard.
Wiseman's "blue style" actually bores me, and I enjoyed the gunmetal greys and cobalt blues of Terminator 2. However, that look had a basis. Wiseman just slops blue anywhere. Die Hard 4 looked like it was shot in the most dreary times of day. No thanks.

God, I love him. Everyone's always going on about his wife, and while she is beautiful, I'd rather have him. He's so hot in a geeky way and it's wonderful.
