Update: Rich Johnston's Lying in the Gutters column over at Comic Book Resources recently displayed what could be the grotesque side of Two-Face's mug. SPOILER, of course, if this is really what it looks like.

Aaron Eckhart, THE DARK KNIGHT The LA Times recently posted something of a treatise on THE DARK KNIGHT villain we've only glimpsed in quick cuts - Harvey Dent aka Two-Face. Played by Aaron Eckhart, we know that the character will be darker than any prior incarnations with a face much more grotesque than we can imagine. How does he fit into the actual story, though? Here's a cryptic answer from Eckhart: "The difference between Batman and Two-Face is how far they are willing to go and how they make their point." To find out what he's talking about, including some significant SPOILERS, go HERE. We'll see Harvey flip his chance coin on July 18th.

two-face is lookin great but i've always loved the joker and it sucks cuz they cant have him in the third,if only they could plot it right then maybe i mean the joker is a very versatile character.

to be honest I'd like to see Nolan's take on Mr.Freeze...he's one of my favourites and has an interesting story. but i doubt he's high up on the list of priorities..

I thought there was something off about this pic. I doubt it's from an actual completed shot, it may be concept. But in the trailer Dent is burnt/acid drenched (whatever) wearing a white shirt whereas in the 'alleged image leak' he appears to be wearing a burnt and dirty BLUE shirt. So, I think it's fake...also for the reason that it doesn't look like something Nolan would pass.

Great point whoever brought up the not bitching when we saw venom and doc ock. We already knew this guy was gonna be in it and so what we see how he looks. The story will still be there and I don't think this will take anything away from the movie. As for the third movie I doubt Two-Face will be the only villain. I'm pretty sure that Nolan won't wrap up this franchise without bringing Catwoman ...

Is it just me, or does Two-Face look more like a burned zombie from a george a. romero film.

I'm sure it will work well in the film, but for my first impression, I'm not really seeing two-face, more a trama patient

funny :), well batman ,to me, has many psycological aspects to it(as do all its bad guys..), so a guy wanting to dress as a bat doesnt seem out of this world, its vigilantism...with a budget.

but I agree with PLKRTN, I guess the best definition is "grounded in realism"....

still for me a guy with a half-scarred/burnt face is the least of the unrealistic characters....

I think its more to do with it being grounded in realism, than actual being realistic, and this looks "real" compared to Tommy Lee Jone's makeup in Forever, for example.

It's good to see a darker Two-Face then the Tommy Lee Jones, almost laughable version of Two-Face. The grosser the face the better.

I much rather enjoy T.D.K.'s Two-Face.

Can't wait to see this one.

I'm a lil upset I saw it before the film but oh well.. he looks.. absolutely.. INSANE. Good shit.. fucking nasty and grotesque and wrong.. I LOVE IT.
I do hope that this is only slightly after he turns into two-face, and in the next movie he can get some insane looking two colored suits, and get his face fixed a lil bit.. I know Nolan hates all that hardcore comic book shit, but Two-Fac...

A little dissapointed I saw this before the theater...but SO SO SO SO SO impressed. I've been thinking though, will Two-Face be the only villain in the third film? I mean, to go from Joker/ Two-Face to just Two-Face, I don't see it. Then again, having only villian is not a bad thing.

Yah no offense guys but not everyone knows who two face is. I'm pretty sure the trailer says nothing about him. You might be ruining something by having this as a front page story with a picture of the actor playing him pop up on the screen.

I know they're going for realism, and normally I don't mind the grotesque, but this is MUCH more grisly than I was expecting.

I'm all for Two-Face looking as gory as shit, but Nolan and co. need to be careful just how far they go.

Recall if you will that when Tim Burton made the Penguin a sewer-dwelling freak who wanted to kidnap all the children of Gotham in 'Batman Returns', parents bitched that it was "too dark". That led to the day-glo abomination that is 'Batman Forever'.

Some may say he looks over the top, but as a Long Halloween fan this is sort of what I expected for two face. It looks like a natural transition from comic to film. And besides this picture is gritty as hell, I'm sure in the film it will make even more sense. I can't freaking wait for July 18th!!!

That's so disgustingly cool, I think it's a little over the top, but it works somehow, I saw some behind the scenes pics where Cillian Murphy was spotted on set, looks liek we got Scarecrow in TDK as well, I hope it doesn't go Spidey 3 on us.

This is the same LATimes article that was posted before, why post it twice? We know Two-Face is shown in the trailer. Whatever, still excited as hell to see this movie!
