Rainn Wilson's new movie THE ROCKER has gotten itself a trailer that you can check out over HERE. The film is about a failed drummer (Wilson) who gets a second shot at fame when his nephew asks him to join his band to play at prom. It co-stars Emma Stone (SUPERBAD), Josh Gad (21), and the guy from The Office, whose superpower is the ability to be annoying all the time, all the time.

I haven't heard anything about the film, but I think you can count on Rainn Wilson in a crunch, and saying Emma Stone is a little cute is like saying James Brown was a little black. Plus, is it me or is Josh Gad basically Jonah Hill? I'm not even entirely convinced they are different people. Does anyone have any information on this? I refuse to be fooled by these guys.

Penn Jillette as the dad!
It looks like he shaved his head, so weird after having his ponytail for so long. The movie looks ok, I will probably put it in my Netflix Que. now.

It doesn't look overly terrible...but anyone else get a feeling this was maybe written for Jack Black? I just feel Dewey Finn was being channeled here a little bit...

This looks like it might be decent. Rainn Wilson is hilarious, and Ill probably end up seeing it just because of him. While the movie itself looks rather unoriginal, hes pretty funny in the trailer. And the comment about him becoming the white cedric the entertainer is like saying Morgan Freeman's acting skills are like that of Paul Walker.

Rainn Wilson is the shit tho, and he owns The Office.. did I really see some idiotic comment about him being the White Cedric the Entertainer? Are you on shrooms?

I've got to disagree with Huttjos, because I don't think his comment makes any sense on any level whatsoever. I don't know what 50 movies he's talking about (there's had to have been more than 50 in the past thirty years), or which of the five he's talking about are "good" (there have been at least five of them this year alone), or why he's trying to bash a movie based on it's rating. To top ...

This movie looks funny. It's a crappy trailer, but it's a comedy so that's to be expected (aimed for a PG-13 rating by the looks of it), and the writers, actors, and director all check out. So why all the asinine bashing?

Not going to lie, I love the Office and Rainn but he just doesn't seem to fit here. Hopefully this is just his "Evan Almighty".

Btw, I bet a hundred bucks that the fat guy part was written for Hill and he said no. This Gad dude probably was Hill's stand-in...or maybe his stunt double...grrr...still hope it's good...but I smell an R rated Drillbit Taylor.
