Bale's 28th Amendment
Earlier today, we told you about Tom Cruise leaving the Phillip Noyce directed thriller THE 28TH AMENDMENT in order to concentrate on the spy thriller EDWIN A. SALT, which Noyce is also attached to direct. Moviehole decided to do a little digging on the former film to find out who they may be thinking to replace Cruise and uncovered that Warner Bros. has put out an offer to current cinematic Batman Christian Bale to star alongside Denzel Washington. The film centers on a US president who learns that a secret organization is actually running the country and will eliminate anyone who tries to get in their way. Naturally, he gets in their way and the proverbial fecal matter hits the proverbial fan. Bale would be playing the president with Washington playing his would-be assassin. Due to the possible SAG strike, however, the film probably won't get underway until next year.
