Lucas violates Indy?
Last night saw the season premiere of "South Park" on Comedy Central and as you might expect it was hilarious in a completely disturbing way. While the main storyline revolved around Cartman's paranoia that the Chinese are taking over the United States, the B-story followed the rest of the South Park kids struggling to overcome something terrible and scarring they saw earlier that summer - INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL.
I'm sure you've all heard the overused phrase by overzealous fanboys that a particular director "raped their childhood," but this episode takes that literally and the boys have post-traumatic stress after the movie and have flashbacks that highlight Steven Spielberg and George Lucas literally raping Indiana Jones. Yes, it's disturbing (especially the DELIVERANCE spoof). But it's also pretty damn funny. Below are three clips from the episode and you can head to South Park Studios now to watch the episode in full.

Almost all the jokes came from the Indy storyline and even there I respectfully disagree with Trey Parker and Matt Stone's opinion about the film.
In a way this episode was like Indy 4, it was good, but not nearly as good as how South Park usually is.

Before people jump on my case, I'll admit that I also disliked Indy 4 IMMENSELY. But this didn't mean we needed a half hour episode proclaiming this over and over. This episode brought nothing new to the table. I already knew Indy 4 sucked because I watched the movie myself. I already knew Cartman was a racist, because I've seen every episode of South Park. I already knew Matt and Trey disliked Lucas and Spielberg, because they ALREADY did an episode blasting them a while ago.
I actually enjoyed most of the first half of Season 12, so I was anticipating the start of the rest of the season. But, to me, this episode was like reading an IMDb message board on Indy 4. Matt and Trey just came across as a bunch of fanboys bitching about a movie, and I didn't find that engaging at all.
Their parody episodes have been some of the worst episodes of the series (I'm thinking the 300-styled episode.) They need to do more social commentary or the absurd comedy episodes. Stuff like this is where South Park is starting to lose it's touch for me.

And I actually hate Family Guy. It's a rip off of classic Simpsons episodes. And it's a lazy rip off at that. Futurama? I'll agree. Great show. But nothing will ever top the first ten seasons of the Simpsons.
God bless

It was barely an adventure film. It was more a parody of the previous movies. CG prairie dogs and monkeys fighting communists, Indiana riding a fridge out of an atomic blast, riding a rocket car out of Area 51, following a catchphrase-mumbling autistic John Hurt, and side-switching Ray Winstone across a jungle while using a snake as a rope, and Lucas laughing to himself as Shia LaBeouf got hit in the crotch with various plants.
Funny to think the script by the director of Shawshank Redemption wasn't good enough for the guy who gave us The Phantom Menace, what we got instead of quality was a joke.
