Okay. You're in a movie, and you desperately need an important package delivered. There will likely be significant danger involved. Jason Statham is otherwise occupied. Why not give Adrien Brody a try?

The Oscar-winning actor is getting in touch with his action side for THE COURIER, about a daredevil delivery dude who is dispatched to take a briefcase to an elusive underworld figure, while cops and rivals crooks hound him for the mystery item. Sounds a bit like THE TRANSPORTER with more nose.

The script comes from WANTED writers Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, with kinetic mayhem handled by HIGHLANDER director Russell Mulcahy, continuing his slow crawl back to major features after spending a decade or so in TV and video. Mulcahy's last big movie was RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION and he's currently working with Tom Jane for the crime thriller GIVE 'EM HELL, MALONE.

The plot sounds more like "Midnight Run" or "Ronin" or "16 Blocks" than "The Transporter."

Meaning there might actually, I hope, be some real plot to it.

As much as I enjoyed "The Transporter" it's essentially exposition and climax. I at least would hope Brody could get something with a little more plot, because unlike Statham, he's yet to prove he can carry a film...

Brody's a great actor. I really liked his work in The pianist, The Jacket, and Summer of Sam. I think it's about time he got a badass role.

His nose just makes him even more awesome.

But honestly, as much as I love Brody, I love the Transporter's over-the-top action more. They should have just given this script to Statham and been like "Jason, we've found the Transporter 4 script", and then he would be like "Well thats what I like to hear", but ya know, all cool and British-like.

Said action film being directed by Russell Mulcahy? Not so much.

The original Highlander is classic, but I honestly don't like any of Mulcahy's other films I've seen.

Case in Point: Anybody who complains about Spider-Man 3 or X-Men: The Last Stand needs to watch The Shadow.
