CHE

There's a new trailer out for Steven Soderbergh's upcoming Ernesto Guevarra two-part biopic, collectively know as CHE, that you can of course check out if you click through. Benicio Del Toro portrays the iconic revolutionary from his time as a young doctor all the way to his work in Cuba and Argentina. Word on the street is these two go together like spinal cords and car seats. The first one, GUERILLA, hits January 9th of next year and the second one, THE ARGENTINE, hits…later. (Please excuse the non-sensical "30 Rock" reference.)

CHE

Extra Tidbit: What do you think the rumored third film will be called? REVOLUTIONARY? THE CUBAN?

No worries! With comrade Hussein Ob'ama planted in place, this serial killer will have statues erected soon. After all, his evil, brainless fanatics hang flags with the murderer Che on their walls and dance in streets with Soviet flags and Lenin's photos. Get ready to have streets renamed, too (especially if their current names have anything to do with Israel, because Bama's brain really hates ...

Che Boulevard, Marx Roundabout, Stalin Avenue, Hamas Street, welcome to the glorious new USSA.

Oh, and if you see anyone look at the poster with Che and wince, report him to your local Black Panther Police Precinct immediately for thought crimes. Remember - your inaction is also a crime, comrade!

since when were all movies about good people?
I don't think it should really matter whether Che was a good or evil person. If the movie presents his story, does it well, and isn't clearly biased then what's the problem? His story is interesting, and movie-worthy regardless of whether he was a hero or a mass-murderer.

the movie, not the person
I'm not going to debate with anyone how out of control Che has gotten, as an icon, and his redeeming values are without a doubt questionable at best, but as far as the movie goes, as far as the performance goes, this thing might very well be a winner. I'll be sitting down for 4 hours for this.

Pass, Look at what he really stood for huh?
Maybe the movie will be good but try looking up what he & Castro actually stood for. He was a brutal man that has been romanticized over the years. Instead of all those that wear the T-shirt's of Che's face, look at all the people he was responsible for being killed & maimed.

I know this is sorta irrelevant but in my opinion this has "Medellín" from entourage written all over it.

ˇViva La Revolucion!
I like Del Toro as Che, but it would have been cool to see Gael Garcia Bernal reprise the role of Ernesto "Che" Guevara after a great turn in The Motorcycle Diaries. Good times.
