I've heard positive word on the 80s-set coming-of-age comedy ADVENTURELAND, but also that it has more in common with movies like CADDYSHACK and FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH than director Greg Mottola's last movie SUPERBAD.

This new poster for the movie would certainly have me believe otherwise, since it appears to have been run through the same retro imaging machine as the SUPERBAD promotional material.

The movie, opening April 3rd, stars Jesse Eisenberg as a college grad in the 80s forced to work a summer job at a theme park. The flick also features TWILIGHT cupcake Kristen Stewart, Ryan Reynolds, SNLer Kristen Wiig, and Bill Hader with a big 'stache.

locRedux, I've seen the majority of the 80's movies (in the theater when they first came out) that Superbad and Adventureland are trying (badly) to recapture, and I can tell you that they don't even come close to the original material. If you want to see something that's actually funny, I'd suggest Harold and Kumar 1 & 2.

Appearently DaForce and EBastard dont have funny bones or smoke weed because superbad and i love you man are hilarious. This looks pretty good though i might miss out on it because of the even funnier observe and report coming out.

yeah, I'm totally with DaForce on this one.

Also, even though this is somewhat unrelated, "I Love You, Man" was awful as well.

Saw it last week at school. It was okay, not bad. The marketing has been real misleading though, it's nothing like Superbad. More drama than comedy.

the vibe i got from the trailer was "major suckage", different from the 2 fellows below, but 2 out of 3 aint bad. sorry.

I like the cast here! mainly current (and favorite)SNL cast member Kristen Wiig! She turns me on! anyway Bill Hader's cool too,will definitely see this.

If this movie is anything like "Caddyshack" or "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" then this movie will be hilarious. The trailers look good and it has a solid cast and an interesting story......so yeah I'm down.

Plus, Ryan Reynolds is the man, so this movie is already going to be good without even being in theaters yet.
