During one of our weekly Hookers, Booze, Weed and Other Assorted Business meetings, we were discussing the possible appearance of a certain Cannabis plant in Disney's recent animated BOLT. At first we thought perhaps it was our own reaction to a certain Cannabis plant that was making us see this but on closer inspection, perhaps not. Below you'll find a screencap of a scene in which the possible leaf shows up. Yeah? What do you guys think? Is that why Bolt thought he was a real life super dog and not just the star of a TV show? He was just too high to know the difference?

I didn't notice the pot leaf the first time around, but I just watched Bolt today on PPV and in the scene where Bolt and the cat are about to enter the trailer park there's a shot with a closeup of a sweet cannabis plant. It's a pretty clear shot and it's definitely a marijuana plant - full of brown, read and purple hairs. I'm sorry, I don't know the time code for the shot, but if you look just...

I'm sorry, I don't know the time code for the shot, but if you look just before the they first look down on the trailer park where they first get food you can see it because it looks different than the rest of the background's painted look. When I saw the image of the pot leaf on the cat's head I knew there must be intentional weed references. I knew there was a reason I love Disney films.

As for the leaf - at a glance, maybe. But upon any kind of closer look, it's pretty obviously not weed. However the bud in the paw, I can see for sure.

Looks like Cannabis to me! Too small to be a maple leaf. I live in Ohio and maple leaves are pretty big. This kind of thing is Disney's signature. Obvious or not, I think it is intentional every time they do it. At this point, it's just funny.

You've seen Little Mermaid right? Nothing debatable about that stiffy bro. That and turning the volume up on the old Aladdin VHS reveals interesting things. Seriously. Also that may very well be a maple leaf. Looks too obvious to be a bud leaf. Their more careful with their adult aimed tidbits nowadays. But I wouldn't put it past them.
