Over the weekend Jerry Bruckheimer appeared on an ABC movie special to premiere the first footage from the upcoming Jake Gyllenhaal epic PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME. The Mike Newell-directed film is based on the popular video game series and features Gyllenhaal as the unruly prince who teams up with a rival princess to stop a maniacal ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world. It also features Jake Gyllenhaal sporting one of the more enviable six packs in recent memory. Wow.

u think u know, but u have no idea how much i love the POP game series. this preview here is just way too general for me to say anything in regards on how the movie will come along. i mean what kinda director answers "he's in great shape for this movie". HELLO! how about a solid answer in regards to how Jake added to the storyline? stop jacking me off Jerry, gimme a solid answer, or shut up and...

Newells harry potter was the worst of the bunch and this looks like a crap fest troy, sucks jake g finnally gets a good gig but bruckheimer and newell destroy it, i though there was hope for a good video game movie, guess ill still be hoping

Looks bad
It looks nothing like an eerie, fairy-book styled video game of the same name at all. This is going to be horrible.

Not bad, still got more than a year to go though, hopefully Bruckheimer's on the right track.

No homo, but Gyllenhaal got JACKED for this. I'd say he's lucky to have Reese Witherspoon but seems like he's earned her.
