He said RUMORS that Jake G was playing Ben Reilly. Outlandish rumors. Obviously not the direction they're going. The clone story sucked as a whole, but had some interesting ideas in the beginning. Never thought of possibly going in that direction in a movie.

I would like to see Scorpion and Shocker/Electro in a the next films. Scorpion gets the symbiote to become Scorp-Venom like in the current books.

I think it would be really could if Raimi and crew decided to go in a different direction. In a post TDK universe, all comic book films are being more harshly criticized.

I think it would be really could if Raimi and crew decided to go in a different direction. In a post TDK universe, all comic book films are being more harshly criticized.
I think tying off the loose ends in spidey 3 gives them free reign to change the tone of the spider-man universe and set the stage for another 3 movies. Spidey 3 was unfortunate but it wasn't a deal-breaker for me, soo I would looooove to see a new direction with the franchise.

After Spidey 3 all i can feel is eh about this one. Of course after Spidey 2 i was stoked to hear about a third... but now, eh. 3 could have been epic if they left the saturday night fever-type scenes out, there was no real need for sandman, and delved more into venom... but for a fourth i say maybe start up something that all the marvel movies can be linked to, sorta like iron-man plans to do with the avengers. maybe start up the secret wars? if done right, the movie will be epic. sam raimi is an awesome director, very talented, i just don't kow what happened with Spidey 3, but if he shakes some con webs off, and maybe listens to a fan or two... it could work. There's still Carnage, Lizard, Rhino, plenty of villains to make this movie work. and plenty more storylines to choose from.

I've always thought the clone saga could work with a bit of updating - i.e. no clones and instead someone injects someone else with Spidey's DNA or something. That would work for me. Also agree with Netforce - Connors...

And then after three weeks they gonna say they need to rewrite the draft for another 3 weeks and so on and on. A good start for the next Spider-Man movie could be The Lizard and branching out from there. Maybe linking...

It would make sense since we have seen the Doc who later become him. It would be a lot cooler if he's the villain. It would make sense for him to be since we've seen his human form.

I don't think the chances are good. Sony will probably remake it after 4. They've been waiting sooo long because the 3rd was crap and I assume they are letting the audiences forget about that.
