You can't deny that the SAW franchise has a following. It's one of those films you're either sick of and wish they would stop, or you water at the mouth when you think of another.

Well my sweet little lovers of carnage candy, it looks like its been confirmed that SAW VII will be shot in 3D. Just a couple of weeks ago, our own Arrow was confirming that writers Marcus Dunston and Patrick Melton were getting busy writing a script for the movie. The guys over at shocktillyoudrop.com got the exclusive from the Twisted Pictures producing team that the plan is for this one to be in 3D.

They've really wanted to do something special with this SAW because, well, I'm not really sure why, other than the fact that they're amazed that it's still going. It's possible that they'll try to go all out with this one, and apparently producer Mark Burg is looking at all the 3D options available.

Dunston, Melton, and director David Hackl will all be returning for this one. But if you are itching for some 3D Saw action a little earlier, you can get your fix with the SAW re-release in 3D.

Extra Tidbit: Has anyone seen MY BLOODY VALENTINE in 3D yet? Is it worth watching? I was interested.

Horror fans will watch anything they put in front of them... thats why they keep making them. They're still making money. I, for one, am a fan of the SAW franchise, but would like to see it wrapped up.

...And Bloody Valentine was excellent. Awesome throwback to a fun slasher flick.

My Bloody Valentine was awesome in 3D, awesome 3D gimmicks from back in the 80s hay day, plus the sense of depth was fantastic, I still think this was the best one I've seen so far, I've been to Up, Monsters vs. Aliens and Beowulf as well.....and I personally think that 3D now is far from a gimmick, it was back in the day because it mostly sucked with the red and blue glasses, but now seeing so...

With MBV I really felt like I was standing in the movie most of the time just watching the actors and everything play out, old 3D (and even the newer magenta and green glasses) just couldnt pull that off

And as a HUGE fan of the SAW franchise I really cant wait for part VII now, will be seeing VI opening night and will be buying the game as well :)

Script, Cast, then 3D
You know, I wouldn't mind a part VII in 3D at all... if the poor script would actually just patch the holes in the story. I mean, there were plot holes the size of Kansas in part... 5(?). I mean (possible) *SPOILER ALERT* What was in the box!? LOL. Take care of the script, then wow your audience with 3D, I say.

I would think that part VI is going to handle that, or did you forget about part VI? ;)

I thought My Bloody Valentine was a piece of shit, the 3D did not save it. I really hated it. I've talked to heaps of people who love it, but I couldn't see why its any different then most of the shitty "horror" films going around these days.

What?
Does anyone else not understand the last sentence or why it links to the IMDb for Wing Commander?

Also, My Bloody Valentine 3D was hilarious, but fuck this series. We need something new.

I fixed it. Sorry about that. Now it won't go to Wing Commander, because obviously that isn't related, unless there's something weird going on I don't know about. lol

This news is old as hell...
...and even now I still think this is a terrible idea to try and cash in more on a gimmick.
