Paris, Je T'aime worked (at least for me) because it's themes dealt with love in paris and a love for paris, in the city of love: paris.

to me, there's nothing THAT special about new york (at least not enough to say I HEART NEW YORK... like those godawful tourist mugs and t-shirts), and love IN new york is nothing special either as the majority of romantic comedies churned out by hollywood are, too, set in new york... which is also very strange because i dont find most of new york to be particularly lovely at all.

that said, i'll probably end up seeing this anyway. im a sucker for natalie portman. but the trailer annoys the hell out of me.

I loved Paris, Je T'aime and this looks just as equally amazing. Stellar cast with some stellar directors.

I want to want to see this but I just think it feels like a low budget sequel where half of the attraction is the actress directors. Just a bit gimmicky to me. I'm sure it'll have its moments, but I feel like most movies about New York are already like this anyway.
And the trailer is just sad. Kind of embarrassing .

I really enjoy movies like this. I'm interested in the segment Portman directed, as well as seeing the dynamic between all of these actors.
