And Mark, now that i have come to know your name, i will keep in mind to completely ignore your posts (5 paragraphs!!!). See ya in another life and ya, as i said before, you need to take a chill (5 paragraphs!!!)

I had to sit through this Dark Knight fanboy hype nonsense practically every time I came to this site back in '08, so give me a break. This hype started way before the movie even came out (everyone had made up their minds it was the best movie ever) and it lasted until months after its release, like when everyone was bitching when it didn't get nominated for best picture. I like this site a lot and it really got annoying so I wanted to give you a taste of your own medicine by repeating my opinion over and over and over again just to represent the other viewpoint. And Nolan was my favorite director and Bale was my favorite actor, so the fact that these movies were so bad (in my opinion, not trying to convince anyone) bothered me, I thought they were capable of making much better movies. So, as a fan of them, I definitely had an opinion.

However, the hype died down and when the 3rd Batman movie comes out everyone's probably going to hate it since that's the common thing to do with 3rd movies in franchises. So, I'm not too annoyed anymore with this movie since I don't have to read about it day after day after day. And I'm not blaming the writers of joblo since it WAS a big movie and they were just giving people what they wanted. It's SOME of the fans who made things annoying around here by proclaiming (without subjectivity) that it was the greatest movie ever made and they told off in an obnoxously snobbish way anyone who disagreed.

If that doesn't apply to you, then my posts about Bale and Nolan weren't for you. And also, when you read practically 99% of strike backs praising a movie, and one person has a different opinion, why is it that you feel THAT person needs to chill out? I'm pretty sure more than one of you have gone on and on about The Dark Knight being great in more than one post, which would be posting the same thing over and over again.

But, you'll notice, my entire post wasn't about Nolan and Bale and I didn't say Inception would suck. I explained where I stood and talked about the positive and the negative.

Also, I must admit, I didn't know the inner workings of fandom, and at the time when I posted my "angry" Bale/Nolan posts, it was at the height of the hype for The Dark Knight. At that time, it felt like the hype would NEVER go away, and I was expressing my disaproval in an indirect way at all the jerks who had been posting about it (not calling every fan of this movie a jerk, just the ones that were behaving like idiots, like I said before). Anyway, I didn't realize that there is a HUGE dropoff of fans once a little time passes and now there are A LOT of people saying they hate this movie. Same thing happened with Bale, everyone LOVED him in Batman Begins but when The Dark Knight came out everyone was obsessed with Heath Ledger and now people constantly bitch about Bale. And the same thing might happen with Nolan someday. But, the difference between those people and me is that they simply GOT SICK of the object of their fandom and I just want actors and directors I like to make movies that appeal to me.
