Last night while scrolling through Milla Jovovich's IMDB page looking for THE FOURTH KIND, I noticed she was once involved with a remake of Gore Vidal's debauchery-filled 1979 film about the notorious Roman Emperor, CALIGULA.

What was even more surprising than the other people involved (Benicio del Toro, Gerard Butler, Courtney Love, original CALIGULA star Helen Mirren) was that I'd somehow never heard of it. I'm not sure how it slipped by the first time, but maybe it's new to some of you as well.

Fair warning: the trailer is loaded with nakedness and drunken revelry.

When I first saw the trailer, I was actually excited about a reimagining of the story. But, once I saw Courtney Love at the end of it, I did a little digging.. The trailer is the movie. Hellen Mirren, Karen Black, Gerrard Butler, Benicio Del Torro, I mean, COME ON!! Talk about a strong cast!!! But, it's not meant to be.. So sad, indeed.

Not an actual movie
IMDB doesn't say this is an actual movie, it actually lists the project as a "Trailer for a remake of Gore Vidal's Caligula." And how the hell would a trailer with nudity get a green band? It wouldn't.

Caligula the porno. How have they manages to get all those stars ? Or perhaps more accurate, from which movies comes all those clips ? Because this parody must be a collection om clips from other movies ?

That's funny, I'd just read about this just a few weeks back but didn't think to see if was available. Good find Joblo.com!!!

The adjectives they come up with in naming the cast... the whole thing is so over the top. It's funny that Vidal was involved in this since he disowned the original claiming Guccione and co. raped his story - good comeback.

For anyone who thinks this is an actual trailer for an actual movie... it's not. It's just a short made for the Venice Biennale back in like 2005.
