Strike Back below!
by: Mike Sampson Aug. 25, 2009

Usually we post EPK material before the movie comes out, not 24 years after the movie came out. But then again most movies aren't THE GOONIES. Just yesterday I was watching the classic "Chunk's Confession" scene and it was cracking me up. Now today this "Making of THE GOONIES" featurette is floating around the web and for fans of the 80s adventure/comedy, it's a fascinating look into the making of the film. As you might expect, it's all set to the tune of Cyndi Lauper's "Goonies R Good Enough."

A good portion of the footage is devoted to director Richard Donner's struggle working with a cast of kids. Says Donner, "I think the uniquest part about working with this many kids in a film is that every night I'm contemplating suicide." And that's just the beginning. Check out the entire six-minute clip below! (Thanks to Slashfilm for the heads up.)

Extra Tidbit: My favorite part is watching the on-set interview with the Fratellis.
