Heathers for TV?

Fox, Sony TV, let me ask you a question, how the hell are you going to make a HEATHERS TV show? When the plot of the movie was a not-so-secret duo of killers offing popular kids left and right, how exactly do you think that translates into a running series? Murder of the week? Suicide of the month? Or maybe a family friendly translation of just high school girls being mean to each other?
In any case, plans ARE going forward to bring HEATHERS to TV, and writers Mark Rizzo and Jenny Bicks have been brought on board with Lakeshore Entertainment, who owns the HEATHERS’ rights, producing. Their president, Gary Lucchesi, is excited about the project, “We had the title, and talked about doing a film remake at times…But doing it for TV seemed like a fresh and original idea."
You know what would be a fresh and original idea? A fresh and original idea. Prefereably one that wasn’t based on a vastly overrated ‘80s teen angst movie. Yeah that’s right, in my estimation, the original HEATHERS had a great concept, but shit execution. And don’t get me started on Christian Slater.
So what do you think about this? Are pumped to watch cheerleaders and jocks get killed by the show’s two leads every week?

Gonna disagree with Paul on this...loved Heathers, including the execution, but can't agree on everything.
