Strike Back below!
by: Dave Davis Sep. 18, 2009

This one slipped by in the other day's casting news for THE A-TEAM, although in my defense I was justifiably distracted by Jessica Biel's perfectness.

According to EW, actor Patrick Wilson is also part of Joe Carnahan's big-screen update of the cartoonish 80s series about wrongly accused soldiers turned righteous mercenaries.

Perhaps best known as WATCHMEN's costumed crusader Nite Owl (or more deservedly for LITTLE CHILDREN and HARD CANDY), Wilson will play a CIA operative in the movie. It's unknown if he'll be helping or hunting the quartet of hired heroes, which includes Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Sharlto Copley.

Cameras are rolling in Vancouver with a release scheduled for June 2010. And judging by these set photos from Splash News, the team is still driving the same van...

Extra Tidbit: They need to cast Wilson and Will Arnet in something as brothers.

Will Arnett and Pat.Wilson
I know they're fucking identical!

This movie is actually looking pretty good.I was very skeptical when i heard ice cube and trry crews floating around but i don't know this guy. he kind of looks the part though and with Liam Neeson and Bradley Coope and now Patrick Wilson, i can't wait to hear more.

Wow, I actually really thought that was Will Arnet upon glancing at the picture. Good call. Other than that, this movie's gonna be lame. I mean, I'm of the minority who loves Joe Carnahan, but it's the f**kin A-Team.

this is definitely...
...a movie that doesn't need to be made. I grew up on the A-Team, and watching it now - its pure schlock. They are going to pull a Starsky and Hutch, and make a flick that isn't quite funny, with toothless action. These movies never amount to much.

They're going to make him some gun-toting obsessive cop. In other words, waste his time - and with the movie's overall existence, ours.

I'm neutral on the A-Team movie, at this point I'm definitely seeing it. But the extra tidbit idea is fantastic. Pure gold.

I've never watched The A-Team but the cast for the movie sounds pretty good.

Good call in the Extra Tidbit.

I'm saying neutral as I have officially moved up from a negative attitude towards this. It seems that they are pulling together a pretty solid cast. Recipe for instant awesome - Just add Liam Neeson. I'm interested to see how this plays out, I'm not saying I'm excited but intrigued to find out where they will take it. The fact that Patrick Wilson is in this simply adds to that is I dig the guys...

In my opinion though, as much as I like Bradley Cooper I think Wilson would make a better Peck.

This kind of pisses me off because I was hoping he'd play Captain America.

there's no reason why he can't still play him. I think he's the ideal choice.
