If one shot character posters aren't really your thing, then check out this new montage-tastic poster for SHERLOCK HOLMES which features a devious Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law actually looking like Waston for the first time ever.

The poster also features Ms. Rachel McAdams, Mark Strong as Dracula and a bulldog. It’s all perhaps a bit busy for my taste, but still rather well done nonetheless. Click on the fragment below to see the whole thing over at Cinematical.

Extra Tidbit: I'm looking forward to the explanation for the bare knuckle boxing match.

Great job on making Mark Strong's face too big for his head. And unnaturally low. It looks like it's sliding off!

God I hate bad posters.

Seeing that sequence in the trailers just reminded me of Pitt's Bare knuckle boxing match in Snatch.

Love the Clarendon typeface it creates here a dignified grit. As for the flick I'm still not convinced Richie can pull it off but I have liked about 90% of his movies.

This just looks to slick for a Holmes movie. All the trailers have too much slo-mo and "cool" shots.

I think this movie will fail.

cool poster, i want to see this when it comes out. --the bare knuckle boxing- well at that point in time they did have underground boxing matches>betting on them - so its possable that hes there fighting and geting watson to collect information at the same time. or some one challenged him, sherlock has been known to like besting his opponents in all manners. ( then again, it could just be a massive excuse to show him topless )

The poster looks pretty cool I suppose. But the explanation for the bare knuckle match in the script (at least the version I read) is that Holmes is a very restless character. If there's a case going he is totally energetic but during the lulls, when life is boring, he tends to feel diminished and makes up for it by engaging in dangerous activities to keep his mind and body going. I found it to be a really cool character moment in the script and a good look into who this guy is. Plus it's RDJ doing the fighting so you know it will be entertaining.

same as what they say about women wearing make-up, the best is when you can't tell you used any. I'm not saying this looks like a skanky whore, but I don't think I'd bring this one home to meet the family.
