I'll be honest. I didn't watch the 2009 Scream Awards last night. In fact, I completely forgot it was on. And yet somehow, life goes on. There did appear to be some moments to last nights show though and one of them was the debut of a new trailer for SHUTTER ISLAND.

What's strange about SHUTTER is that it holds some secrets in its plot and with this, the third trailer now, I'm worried about how much they can show without giving away the third act of the film. I'm actually wondering if people are starting to figure things out just by what they've shown. No matter, it's Martin Scorsese and the thing looks damn good. Check out the new trailer below!

Hate to say it, but I wanna see this movie. DiCaprio is the major reason why I wouldn't but...Scorsese's suspense/horror film... I GOTTA see that.

What twist?
I read the book and wasn't impressed to be honest, the TWIST isn't very well hidden and not that surprising but the movie looks entertaining and it's a good director/actor pairing so worth seeing, I guess.

Don't get your hopes set too high if you haven't read the book. It's not a "massive" twist. Stay grounded for this film.

Nobody said they were expecting a huge twist .. No matter the size of a twist, we just dont wanted it spoiled before actually seeing the movie.

I have only seen the first trailer, not watching this one to make sure it wont be ruined for me. I hope its not an Angel Heart twist though ...

BUT .. its a Scorsese picture, Im not seeing it for any twist, Im seeing it for the talent displayed

I'm with Kc Masterpiece... this just looks incredibly bland.I'm a huge fan of Dicaprio though so I'll see it for him.

Scorsese has sucked before, and there is NOTHING I've seen on this that looks particularly amazing. In any way.

Based on the book, one of the twist is obvious, but its more to it that makes it truly amazing.

Nothing to worry about
I finished reading the book about a month ago, and anyone who thinks they've given too much away... they haven't. Although the first trailer does give some bigger parts of the story away, none of them show too much.

first trailer made it obvious
at least to me, the 1st trailer gave everything away, and the 2nd and 3rd trailers have been more restrained.

but then, i'm only speculating as i don't know the story. but that first trailer sort of beat you over the head with what the twist would be.
