Strike Back below!
by: Paul Tassi Nov. 4, 2009

You've seen the action-packed, Bourne-esque trailer for Paul Greengrass' GREEN ZONE, and now, courtesy of Empire, we have the slightly less action-packed, but still Bourne-esque poster for the film, which features Matt Damon looking gritty and capable of kicking ass.

For all intents and purposes, the film really could be a BOURNE sequel, with the man getting his memory back and heading out to Iraq to expose corruption via killing a whole bunch of people.

Check out the poster below and head over to Empire to make it larger.

Source: Empire

Extra Tidbit: Looks cool except for the tagline, "Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller is DONE FOLLOWING ORDERS." Rar!

Gotta be honest...
I see and work with CWO's almost every day at my duty station and I've yet to meet one that isn't in his 50's and somewhat out of shape.

Just saying.

But the trailer looks dope and Greengrass and Damon are like the Action genre's Scorsesse and DiCaprio now, so I think this'll be the shit.

Looks good to me.
Better this than a cheesy cut n' paste image of Damon running from a fireball or something like that.

I wonder if I'd like it more if they hadn't cut his head off. Dunno.

But I swear I must be the only guy who isn't drawing Bourn comparisons with this thing. Sure, when he gets down and dirty, it looks a bit Bourne-ish, and sure, Matt Damon-on-the-run is a bit. But so far I haven't spotted that cynicism with the system. Greg Kinnear is the only thing that seems out of a Bourne movie.

Incredibly boring, just like the trailer.. which was basically Bourne 4. Damon is playing the exact same man on a mission to unravel some dumb military secret.

Count me the fuck out.

Wow. Pretty lackluster. I feel like this is just gonna be too much of a run-of-the-mill actioner.

And it's "intents and purposes," by the way.
