The Bruce Willis action-thriller RED seems to be collecting an impressive cast -- in addition to the A-lister himself, the movie features highly respected thespians Morgan Freeman and Helen Mirren, not to mention Mary Louise Parker ("Weeds") and John C. Reilly.

Now add in "Nip/Tuck" surgeon and FF nemesis Julian McMahon, plus screen veterans Richard Dreyfuss, Brian Cox and the 92-year-old Ernest Borgnine.

The story revolves around a former CIA operative (Willis) enjoying his retirement, until the new company director (Freeman) discovers his secrets and decides to make it permanent by dispatching a younger high-tech black-ops crew.

McMahon will play a devious Vice President, Borgnine is a CIA records keeper, Cox is a former Cold War spy and Dreyfuss is a millionaire who made his money from shady government contracts (he's playing Cheney again?).

The Summit movie is based on a Warren Ellis comic series, and is being directed by Robert Schwenke (FLIGHTPLAN, THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE).

Extra Tidbit: Refusing to be outdone by Borgnine, actor Eli Wallach (THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY) is still actively working at age 93.

It's good to see that Dreyfuss has something else in the pipeline other than "Piranha 3-D".

Borgnine
Love him.

His character in the Dirty Dozen still makes me bust a gut laughing.
