HACK/SLASH is a movie where the entire pitch can be conveyed through one picture, which I've posted to the right. If you needed more of an explanation than that, it's about a girl named Cassie Hack who prances around in comically short skirts, killing those she deems “Slashers,” individuals with the overwhelming need to kill, a-la-your typical Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers-type baddies.

It’s like if Dexter was played by Zooey Deschanel in stripper gear, and needless to say, it’s a comic that needs a film adaptation. The project has a director (Fredrik Bond) and now just landed a writer in the form of Stephen Susco.

You may remember Susco's previous work adapting THE GRUDGE for American audiences. Now, I may have thought that was one of the world foreign movie adaptations I’ve ever seen, but I guess I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt for the sake of this movie being made. I have a feeling this is the type of film where the script isn’t really going to matter so much as the action and the legs poking out from that skirt.

Kat Dennings is the best choice ...
I've read the original script with Todd Lincoln co writing. It was very faithful to the books but might be isolating to the non-fans. Please God don't let this be an "origin" story.

thats like alan moore writing the watchmen movie...it doesnt work when it comes to writers, the artists are fine...the only one i know whos glad is Mark Millar, he loves having his comics made into movies

I talked to the writer, Tim Seeley at Comic-Con about it. He knew that as Sulaco put it, that he was going to get "f*cked" on the deal. He was just glad someone liked the story enough to adapt it. They really haven't involved him in it at all. It is indeed sad.

Wow they have been trying to make this movie for years!! this is what, the 10th writer to take a crack at it? Anyways, the comic is pretty good, would make for a fun movie for sure. megan Fox was attached to this for awhile, but id rather see someone else do it, i dont think kat dennings would be a good cassey either, who do i suggest? no idea ha ha but hopefully neither of them.

As far as I know, isn't Frank Darabont still attached to it? I read he was just making it into a mini-series.

AMC is putting out a Walking Dead TV show, which is a way better idea then a walking dead movie. Cant wait for the show to start!

As long Megan Fox doesn't play Cassie Hack I'm cool with that....Kat Denning's said she was interested in it and she already has the sexy goth look going for her, so Kat better, Fox NEVER!!!

I actually just finished the first omnibus last week, and it's one of the coolest things I've read in awhile. Not to sure on the writer...can't they just get the original creator to write it?
