Where are Gale Weathers and Deputy Dewey boy?

"There are really only a few of us that survived," said Courteney Cox-Arquette on the lack of remaining original cast members.

She also gave her prediction of what the couple might be up to, "They're probably back living in Woodsboro. I think that he's probably still deputy, and I've had a lot of kids. I don't know. I'm probably miserable, and then I'm sure a lot of murdering will happen."

For some reason I'm doubting they end up having kids. It will most likely be a case of the marriage hasn't worked out so well. She's still a workaholic and Dewey doesn't understand her. So they really haven't had time to have kids. As for what Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) might be up to, last she was living in the middle of nowhere enjoying peace of mind with Detective Mark Kinkaid (Patrick Dempsey). It's very doubtful that Dempsey will reprise his role, or that she will have a boyfriend.

A lot of you may not be into this series, but I for one am very happy to see its return. I'm pretty sure I watched it at least 5 or more times last month. The second and third one may not have done quite as well, however, I'd still much rather watch them than any of the SAW movies.

Extra Tidbit: Whatever happened to Skeet Ulrich being in films? I know he was on the show JERICHO, but I didn't watch that.

Personally I was neither a fan nor did I hate them. Personally for me any second I have to watch David Arquette is bad...then I see Courtney and I feel better...then I remember she is married to that deuchebag David Arquette.

I'm incredibly excited for Scream 4. I never imagined it would happen, but I welcome it. I grew up on the trilogy, and the first is among my favorite movies. To this day it holds up and remains just as innovative and clever as it was back then and because we grew to care about those characters, the franchise hasn't lost its appeal. I'm very curious to see what they can do with it now. I have a feeling Sidney will bite it in the opening scene though.

On a side note, while I definitely favor the Scream trilogy over the Saw franchise, I am still a die hard fan of the Saw franchise and it boggles my mind when people refer to it as being tired or claim the appeal is the traps. The appeal is the unique, Lost-esque form of storytelling, the compelling stories and characters, the emotional intensity of some of the story lines and the intriguing, intricate web that is being woven (nearing conclusion now). I often feel as though I am watching an entirely different set of films than those who continuously bash them, because the things i mentioned are what I observe in each film and the last thing I could give a shit about is the traps (and that's actually the case with many people) and yet all anyone ever comments on is the amount of gore or they completely miss the point and don't see anything except a number "duhhhh...there's this many now" "they're making another one?" It's completely and utterly ludicrous.

The Scream films were always known for their elaborate opening sequences & I get the vibe that its the Sidney character that will be finally killed off in the beginning & make Dewey & Gail to come together & figure out who killed her. Could work really & would be totally unexpected. I love all 3 Scream movies & glad this is an actual sequel & not a reboot.

Curious to see it but...
I always wanted the 4th one to be done in a "New Nightmare" style, with the real actors being stalked by a Ghostface wannabe looking to make his real life "reboot" of the series. That way you get a new twist on the concept and you can bring back as many actors as you want!

Love the Scream trilogy and I personally can't wait for more. IMO I think killing off Patrick Dempsey's Kincaid character would be a spectacular Scream 4 opening. It'd be a great way to get Sidney back in the game and make the movie more personal like the first one revolving around her mom.

yeah dude that's EXCELLENT! and then Sydney can find this like really sweet and sexy new boy toy. And she'll be fin again, not like in Scream 3!

Love the original, and the sequels are decent, but not nearly as good, but this seems silly to me.

I for one am happy to see it return! I enjoyed the films. I do hope this is better than the sequels though.

"Movies don't create psychos, movies make psychos more creative!"
One of the my favorite lines from the movie. I never visited the remakes (other than one time catching the tail-end of the second movie). I probably won't see this unless they reinvent the wheel, or at least give us something as witty as the first movie.

And Nikki, if you're looking for Skeet Ulrich, he's in that movie "Armored" coming out.

Saw Screaming
Saw 1 was an awesome film that was just absolutely ruined by its sequels. I felt the same about Scream when it came out so I'm hoping that now there's been a break, there's been time to think up some new ideas...

I fourth or fifth the comment about the Scream series being better than the Saw series...The first Scream is definitley one of the classic horror movies to come out of the 90's. Kids
Not having time to have kids, has probably never stopped people from having kids. Ever wonder what the percentage is of kids who are conceived intentionally, versus the one's who are conceived by accident?

:) Awwwww. Virtual hug. I forgive you. Scream really bonds people. I'd talk about it all day if I could, but if I did it might get terribly boring.

Save that shit for the straight-to-DVD shelf.

Plus the stories. I see where SAW gets attention for being creative in the sense of coming up with these torture devices but other than that they don't have much. I think a good scary movie has to be cheesy. As the movie says, there's a very simple formula. Williamson is a fantastic writer. I would never in a million years go back on my love for the series. You know....
I am glad they are making another one. I always enjoyed these movies. I know the 2nd and 3rd were pretty lame, but they are always entertaining to watch.
