You've been anxiously awaiting the day that Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren would trade kicks again (you have, right?), and that kick-wish has finally been granted with UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: REGENERATION.

While Lundgren's ear-collecting UniSol didn't make it back for UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: THE RETURN (that flick's villain was Michael Jai White, unjustifiably still not a major star), he'll be back to face Luc Deveraux in a true sequel, directed by John Hyams (son of JCVD's SUDDEN DEATH and TIMECOP director Peter Hyams).

Extra Tidbit: A pair of made-for-TV UNIVERSAL SOLDIER sequels plugged Matt Battaglia into the Deveraux role, and also featured one of the many versions of Burt Reynolds' face.

I'll give it a watch, The Return was terrible but the first Uni Sol is my fave Van Damme film and has easily the best bad guy death of all time. "You're discharged, Sarge!"

NO, I DON'T WANT TO BE A FUCKING RIDE WARRIOR!! I also kinda wish that Van Damme wasn't pigeon holding himself and retreading. After JCVD it seemed like he would've stepped up his game into territory with some more depth. Guess not. Still gotta love the guy though.
