Strike Back below!
by: Dave Davis Nov. 23, 2009

Clearly hoping to tap into the same audience that made the TWILIGHT series such a monolithic moneymaker, the upcoming BEASTLY also pairs romance with a touch of monsterism.

Alex Pettyfer (STORMBREAKER) is the dreamy JBF-haired teen who finds his form contorted into a hideous (?) mancreature, and has a year to find a woman to love him or he'll be forever cursed with wearing special effects makeup. He rightfully selects ex-Disney cupcake Vanessa Hudgens as his quarry.

The movie doesn't arrive until next summer, but they obviously want to surf the NEW MOON success posthaste. You can catch a tiny glimpse of this high school Perlman-free "beauty and the beast" tale below.

Extra Tidbit: Now that NEW MOON pulled in such mad stacks, how many years of copycats will be thrust upon us?

That trailer was awful and the voice over was crap. This could be worse then the Twilight films.

i understand the hate of twilight now
its not that ppl hate the movie per say, but what it represented. now their will be more hell spawned movies like twilight (over exaggeration i know lol). but srsly i dont think we are gonna see a good American made vampire movie for a LOOOOONNNGGG while. Hollywood is in it's monster love story movies now, just watch in a year or two they will be announcing a Frankenstein Romantic film

I agree and disagree. Yes, people hate what they represent, but I also hate them because they are not well made (yes, I have already seen New Moon).
