I don't know what to think about THE BOOK OF ELI. The various trailers look pretty cool but I've heard some troubling things about the film and the mid-January release date can sometimes act as a warning sign. One thing I'm really excited to see though is Gary Oldman getting back to playing a psychotic bad guy. I've kinda missed that.

A new poster for ELI is available and it wisely (at least from a marketing perspective) sticks to a giant Denzel Washington head. I'd think with a movie like this you could find a slightly more impressive visual to strike a chord with people but so be it. Check out the new poster below...

Extra Tidbit: I think a good portion of the success of this film (critically, not commercially) will be how believable the third act revelation is to audiences.

Great poster, hoping for some more good ones.
Well, the film's named after me too. Lol, I'll be jokingly riding that whenever I speak to someone about it, once it comes out.

I've said it before, even if this film didn't look as kickass as it already does, I'd watch a Denzel film where he watches paint dry.

HE LOOKS LIKE A TAN GEORGE CLOONEY
I for one am looking forward to this. I like pretty much anything Denzel does. Heck the film is named after me (Eli) LOL! It's gotta be good just for that reason alone right? LOL!

It'll be entirely kickass and fun! Plus, it's the Hughes Brothers, have they ever disappointed? Not me!

im unsure how "good" this movie will actually be, but theres no way between washington and oldman it wont be completely satisfying entertainment. gary oldman is one of my favorite actors and he has created some of the most memorable film villains ever.

2 Revelations...
The first third act revelation is obvious from the poster. One revelation is actually connected to the other that's not so obvious from the poster. But if you don't know what they are already, they are pretty cool.
