SUPERMAN, as we all know, never quite off the ground under the leadership of Brett Ratner and has been sitting on the shelf ever since. But perhaps based on the studio's newfound confidence from BATMAN BEGINS, things are starting to heat up again. Dan-El from Superman-V.com was able to confirm that last week McG made a presentation to Warner Bros executive that basically re-pitched his take on the film. The meeting, described as "make or break" for McG supposedly included conceptual drawings, storyboards and McG's reiteration that Henry Cavill is the man to play Supes. Apparently the studio walked away impressed and enthused by McG's presentation and that may translate into a fast-track. Now while the presentation and its reception has been confirmed, I caution that neither Superman-V.com nor JoBlo.com will confirm that this will mean anything in regards to the film's development. It has been a film of many starts and stops and could mean a go for the film or could mean little other than another year or so of continued "development." It appears to be a step in the right direction - assuming, of course, one would feel McG is the "right direction." I'm still not convinced he is but considering how long this film has been in the works and the fact that McG is still attached means it could take years to find a replacement.
