So you thought after REVENGE OF THE SITH you were all done dolling out cash to Herr Lucas to see his films in the theater? Oh you're silly. Did you really think Lucas wouldn't come up with some scheme to again re-release his films in the theater? Well, he has and that scheme is 3-D. While speaking at the ShoWest convention in Las Vegas, Lucas revealed his plans to remaster the STAR WARS films and rerelease them to theaters in 3-D. While he wouldn't commit himself to a set schedule he said he hoped to have the first film, A NEW HOPE, ready for the 30th anniversary of that film in theaters back in 1977 with another film coming every year after that. Ohhh Darth Lucas you're even more devious than I thought. Of course he could just move on after REVENGE OF THE SITH and focus on new things but nah. There are lots of fanboys out there with money just burning giant holes in the pockets. ROTS, the seemingly final installment in the STAR WARS series, hits theaters this May.
