Pics: The Interpreter

Up until we received these redundant pictures from the upcoming April 22nd release of THE INTERPRETER, I was looking forward to seeing what director Sydney Pollack had put together, with Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn in the starring roles. The film's last TRAILER was pretty decent, and the story-line was intriguing. Unfortunately, the latest pictures from the flick make it look like a 2-hour drama featuring Penn and Kidman talking half the time, and Kidman on the phone or headphones for the rest of the time. Lame-o. That said, I'm hoping that these photos aren't any real indication of what the film's end result might be, which I'm hoping is a tense, engaging thriller. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Click on the pics below for more of the same. PS: Am I the only person who thinks that Sean Penn owes Chris Rock a huge apology for being such an ass on Oscar's night? I don't know...I hope it's not just me. Lighten the F up, Sean...the man was paid to make jokes...remove el sticko from el asso. Still a brilliant actor though.
