Thanks to reader Jonno, here's the first look at the infamous Davy Jones from the upcoming PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST. Jones is, of course, an evil "fiend that presides over all the evil spirits of the deep" (a phrase originally coined in Tobias Smollet's "The Adventures of Peregrine Pickle") In the film, he'll be played by Bill Nighy and according to him, he is one VERY evil mofo. There haven't been any details released on the plot of the second or third installments but as long as Keira Knightley is wearing something tight and preferrably wet, I'm happy. It opens July 7th, 2006.

Davy Jones huh? I kinda like the idea of that character seeing as how the "Davy Jones locker" phrase is always associated with pirates. Not too fond of the lobster arm though. Kinda cheesy. Better not mean that Barbossa is gone. He kicked ass.

this guy davy jones looks like one bad ass and i think Bill Nighy is a good guy for the part if some of you don't know who he is he was viktor in underworld

Since when was Davy Jones a giant peice of seaweed with a squid for a face? Still looks cool though. I guess they are trying to top the skeletons in the moonlight.

I'm also not feeling the crab arm.
