If you've always wanted to be in a big Hollywood movie but your addiction to cheeseburgers prevented you from doing so, here's your chance. David O Russell's THE FIGHTER--starring Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg--is looking for unpaid extras to fill the stands for some boxing scenes that will be shooting in Lowell, Massachusetts on July 14th, 15th and 16th. The filmmakers will be providing free parking, and raffle prizes for CDs, DVDs, and Gift Cards and the scenes being shot are said to feature both Bale and Wahlberg.

THE FIGHTER takes a look at boxer "Irish" Micky Ward's (Wahlberg) unlikely road to the world light welterweight title with the help of his half-brother Dicky (Bale), a boxer-turned-trainer who rebounded after a life of drugs and crime. Amy Adams also stars. To join the fun visit BeInAMovie.com--who knows with the volatile Russell and the potty-mouthed Bale both on set, you may get to witness some--ahem--fireworks.

I know this is kind of off subject but I do believe that Wahlberg is actually a couple of years older than Bale, so i think its kind of funny that Bale is playing his older brother.

Actually the Danvers Hospital has since been demolished for apartments but it was a real location at the time of the movies.

I am from Lowell. Im pretty sure Session 9 was based in Danvers, MA in an actual abandoned mental institution. Not to far from Lowell

You can live there! They renovated the mental hospital, and you now live in Chestnut Green Apts! [link] - as a former mass resident, I don't know how they are going to get anybody to buy there.
