Bee Movie Moviehole recently sat down with DreamWorks grand poobah Jeffrey Katzenberg and he talked a little bit about a BEE MOVIE sequel seeing as how the flick's making some pretty decent bank at the box office. Here's a little taste of the exchange:

And talking of franchises is Jerry eyeing a ‘’Bee Movie’’ franchise?
I don’t know – I don’t have the courage to ask him right now [Laughs].

So, in other words, you guys are but you don’t know about Jerry?
Have you ever run a marathon? Its 26.2 miles. So to ask Jerry Seinfeld today whether he’s interested in doing a sequel is like asking someone who has just crossed the finished line in a marathon whether they wanted to run again. If they had the energy they’d club you to death.

You’d like to see [a sequel] though?
Anything he’d like to do – working with him has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my professional career. If he wants to play again, I certainly would.

They also spoke about the two upcoming SHREK sequels, SHREK GOES FOURTH (yeah, that's the name) and the fifth one. Check out the interview HERE.

Extra Tidbit: I wonder if The Katz is as distraught as Brian Grazer for not being more famous for his Hollywood accomplishments.

Oh God Please
Knock it off with the Shreks! The third one was unfunny and boring. They should have stopped at 2.

I like Katzenberg's response to the "Bee Movie 2" questions. No bs. And I think he's already more well-known than Brian Grazer, who is mostly known for playing second-fiddle to Opie (his resume is much larger than that, but Imagine ain't no Dreamworks animation studio).
