Broken Lizard's next?
Chris from over at the Scene Unseen Podcast recently let us know he'd had a little chat with Jay
Chandrasekhar of Broken Lizard and he mentioned that one of their upcoming projects would be an animated R-rated film that could very well be a pseudo-sequel to
BEERFEST, titled POTFEST which, it doesn't take a genius to deduce, would deal with the current civil unrest in Iraq and its ramifications on the Middle East. Oh no, it
would deal with pot. Lots and lots of pot. And lots and lots of hallucinations and random funnyness. If done right, it could very well be the ultimate stoner film, surpassing even THE BIG LEBOWSKI in, well, greatness. This would likely be after THE GREEK ROAD, which they've said they would do next, but who knows at this point because they've got a ton of projects in the pipeline both as a group and individually. Check out the rest of the interview at the above link.

None of Broken Lizard's future projects will surpass SUPER TROOPERS in greatness
Second:
POTFEST as a joke in BEERFEST is fine... POTFEST as a separate movie... not fine
Third:
This kind of material animated, would not please audiences very much
