Recently, Golden Apple Comics in Los Angeles was visited by "Battlestar Gallactica" actress Katee Sackhoff who purchased all the Typhoid Mary comics they had in stock. In case the name doesn't ring a bell, Typhoid Mary is the longtime foe and sometimes lover of Marvel's Daredevil, a mutant with a multiple personality who develops various powers depending on which personality inhabits her at the time. So either Sackhoff is a huge fan of Typhoid Mary comics, or she's in the running for the role in a potential DAREDEVIL reboot and is doing her research like any good actress should. Typhoid Mary also appeared in early DEADPOOL comics, so maybe Sackhoff is looking to star opposite Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming spin-off. Personally I just don't understand why in the world Marvel would want to remake DAREDEVIL. That movie was like, so perfect.

Fuck a reboot!
I loved the original and the director's cut..though it was campy at times I still loved it! Why does hollywood have to remake every fucking thing nowadays? Anyway, I can't really see anybody filling the shoes that Affleck should of never filled....they need to just leave it alone!

I'm so down to see this rebooted
If this is true and Katee gets cast for the role it will be awesome. She could fill that role and make it amazing. As for casting a lead i think it should be a no name, but if i had to pick someone to play the role right now i'd want to see Chris Pine give it a shot.

Id be VERY glad to hear that they are redoing Daredevil. I honestly thought it was one of the worst movies Ive ever seen. It made no sense whatsoever.

A new script, new characters and a more in depth character and plot development.

I for one would love to see a new Daredevil movie. Great character--but Affleck sucked as him. Affleck was a decent Murdock, but wholly unbelievable in the lame DD suit.

And get Proyas or somebody with a vision to direct this time.

As long as they leave out the origin story, I don't have a problem thinking of it as more of a discontinuous sequel (a la 007) than a reboot.

I haven't seen it, but there is no way that the director's cut is a good Daredevil movie. One of the big problems I had with the film was that it really did not seem to respect the world at all, and therefore was embarrassingly over the top...

It had more of a Fast and the Furious (but even sillier) tone than say a Spider-Man tone. Bullseye standing up on a moving motorcycle with his arms outstretched? Come on.

It would be great to see someone older than Affleck in the role. Matthew Fox is a good choice, especially since it would be nice to root for him after hating his character more and more on Lost.

While we're speculating on Battlestar vets, how about Tahmoh Penikett for DD? He did a pretty good job of portraying a kind of conflicted righteousness that the Man Without Fear is known for. Oh, and the dude who played the awesome Romo Lampkin as... Mysterio?

Only he might be too good for an often very boring superhero. Unless they make the Elektra lives again story, one of Millers few great stories. Fox would make a great Green Lantern too.

Marvel dosn't want to reboot Darebevil. Fox does cuz they have made movies of all there marvel proporties and they all sucked. Minus x-men and x2.

I think Matthew Fox would make a cool daredevil and Jason Statham would be a cool Bullseye.

And he really got a good on-screen chemistry with Jon Favreau. Just a what if question: what if Daredevil's director's cut WAS a theatrical version? From the introduction of Elektra and Bullseye to the final climax, it all zoomed past you. If given a 2 hr run-time, we would've gotten an establishment of characters.

If they are to do a reboot than Damon is my pick to play Daredevil. He has the acting chops and he can do fight scenes ("Bourne" movies).

What they should do for the reboot and for the "Wolverine" sequel, is use Miller's work as their inspiration. Miller shouldn't direct it of course but his work should be the heart of the movie.

An all-star cast, a qualified director, Miller as a co-writer, and a hard PG-13 if not R would resurrect this franchise from the grave.

the Deadpool thing seems more logical. I dont like the idea of redoing Daredevil for the simple reason that it didnt work when they tried to revamp the Hulk. What we need here is time travel so we can forget the Daredevil catastrophe that was, and start over. This time, Daredevil could be played by, oh what the heck-- James McAvoy or Jason Statham, then we've got something.

I guess a lot of people will hate me fr this, but I think they should get someone unknown as the new Daredevil. I don't know about putting Mary in the new Daredevil flick, since the first one was terrible with Elektra in it. Although I have to admit that the Directors Cut of the movie was a 1000 times better than the theatrical release !!! It was more action and less love/romance involved.

Guys, I think the speculation is that she wants to AUDITION for the part - not that she's been offered it - hence buying the comics herself.

Having said that, I still don't think there's any truth to this speculation.

I'm one of those Daredevil fans who really hated the Johnson film. I think the biggest problem was that he just doesn't know how to make a good superhero flick (remember, he made Ghost Rider as his followup film). I've also seen the director's cut but didn't like it much better. However, I agree that a reboot could have a ton of potential, as long as the right people were involved. I also agree with Arvindh's idea of getting respected, but somewhat off the radar actor to play the lead.

My picks:

Daredevil - Ethan Hawke
Kingpin - Ray Winstone
Karen Page - Claire Danes
Foggy Nelson - Mark Ruffalo
Bullseye - Mark Strong

I actually think Sam Rockwell would make a pitch perfect Bullseye, but he's already doing Iron Man, so that seems unlikely. For the director I'd go with either Alex Proyas or Billy Ray.

I'm past the stage where all these reboot rumors interest me; most of them never happen anyway. If a Daredevil reboot happens, then I hope a talented team is attached, if not than no big deal.

If not Affleck, possibly Mark Wahlberg.

Ever notice when everyone uniformly hates a movie there's always that one guy who says "I actually like____ (insert Daredevil, Terminator 4, etc,)". I always imagine that guy wearing a plastic helmet with a chin-strap.

That said, yeah, reboot this piece of shit and do it right.

There is a reason why most celebs buy their comics from Meltdown and House of Secrets. They don't blab to everyone about who comes in. What a bunch of scumbags at the Golden Apple. I swear what a pathetic club of gossiping pieces of shit.

Also, would they really use Typhoid Mary after she was in that Electra movie? I'd rather see Katie as Blackcat.
