We've been speculating left and right about who'll be slapping on the black and green spandex to play the titular superhero in the upcoming GREEN LANTERN feature adaptation but some talented sumbitch (or sumbitches) apparently became tired of all the speculation talk and decided to take things a step further. He, she or they have put together the below pretty damn slick fake trailer with Nathan Fillion as the Emerald Knight. Something to think about, Martin Campbell (director of the film). The film already has a June 17th, 2011 release.

Extra Tidbit: The first Green Lantern appeared in All-American Comics #16 in 1940.

The Green Lantern film is an origin story, making Fillion at least five years old. And by the time the movie comes out he'll be in his forties. He's also never starred in anything successful.

And no, Kcat, he wouldn't make an amazing Captain America. You're obviously just some fanboy with a hard-on for anything Fillion.

Nathan Fillion would be brilliant as The Green Lantern. (He'd make an amazing Captain America, too.) I'd much rather see an older Hal Jordan than a young one. If Robert Downey Jr. can be Iron Man in his mid-forties, Nathan Fillion sure as hell can be Hal Jordan in his late-thirties!

I love Nathan Fillion and I must say that was pretty damn cool. Slick editing. Plus they used 'Out Of Gas' for parts which is one of my favorite Firefly episodes.

that was awesome. i think the star trek music really works in giving it an epic feel.

ive been waiting for years for a GL movie to be made. He's one of my favourite DC characters.

Nathan Fillion is too old to play Hal Jordan. The trailer was pretty good. The person who made it obviously hasn't read the script though.
