It's always nice to pass along a "first look" to our dedicated JoBlo.com readers and we've got a doozy today. I came damn close just about two weeks ago to being able to deliver a great trailer exclusive, but sadly that fell through. As disappointed as I was with that situation I was even more devoted to getting you fine people something kick-ass. Today, we're happy to bring to you the first look at the trailer of a movie we've been following for some time: HITMAN. Fox is releasing the film this October, the trailer will be in theaters this week with LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD and you can get a first look at the film right now. It's actually a pretty well made trailer - it's not often you hear "Ave Maria" in a movie trailer and it's a nice touch. Not a lot of industrial/metal blaring above non-stop action shooting, explosions and kicking. That said, I could do without that spinning text-over. Still, color me impressed. You check it out for yourself below and share you thoughts with your fellow readers.

Extra Tidbit: The symbol you see in the trailer was designed by Agent 47 baed on the Ort-Meyer asylum logo where he was created.

But personally, I think i'd have to agree with AlcoholicZombie. If you cast someone just because he/she looks the part, it'll probably end up as crap if they can't BE the part. Now I remembered why I was in rage in the first place when early rumors were flying around saying Vin Diesel was attached to this project.

A teaser is designed to get ya excited about a movie as well as give you a taste. A full trailer will get me more excited but this taste has me very interested. Hopefully Olyphant does the character some justice other...

It might just be me, but I get a hardcore Bourne Identity mixed with Boondock Saints vibe with this one. His past is clouded in mystery, but he is sent by God to kill the bad guys. Ummmm.....we've seen this before.

Until I see a HD version or higher quality trailer, I have nothing good nor bad to say about this flick because the trailer quality is horrible. I dont watch my trailers in YouTube pixelated form so I wont start now. ...

Also, Why would we want to cast Statham in this anyways? His voice doesn't match the personality of 47 at all. The guy doesn't represent a cold silent killer type at all. The dude is great at being a kick ass martial art action star but not in this kind of role. The dude is near bald anyways and wouldn't be much of a difference to make you believe he is 47. Fine example is of the recent Iron Man cast picture. If you had John Malchovich(sp?) play the part that Jeff Bridges has, you would think he totally typecast because he is bald to begin with & played bad guy roles thus not really believing the character at all. The same goes for Statham. I saw some close ups of Timothy Olyphant who plays 47 & he honestly fits it alot better than Statham in my opinion. I am finally glad that they chosen roles for people based on their acting experience & not because they are the hot commodity in today's market. It's a good thing Statham didnt get this based on looks alone.

Hopefully this flick rates up there with X2 coolness. Also, I dug the non cliche music for this trailer even though the visual were horrendous.

I liked the snippets where 47 has that dual-wielding stance and the creeping up from behind thing. Oh and what's up with the lady? That scene better end up with Hitman injecting some poison in that lady and not 47 naked in the morning smoking cigs on the bed!

While Olyphant makes for a nice bald guy, he seems to me to be a little too youthful looking. He's certainly within perfect age range (he's 39), but without make-up looks like a 15 year old cancer patient.

I wouldn't say it's the greatest trailer out there, but it definitely captured the 'game' feel. Good for a teaser. I'm not convinced to see it in the theatres yet. But I do like the casting choice.

He's an okay looking Hitman, too young if you ask me.
Though, it does capture the games feel unlike other video game movies (cough, DOA) but I'm not expecting more than a typical action movie fare

It just should send chills down your spine watching Agent 47 doing his work. So far, I'm pretty much psyched to see more progress on this flick.

I still don't really see Timmy Olyphant as 47, looks-wise. I agree with ofwolfanddan, he looks weird. I still wonder how fuckin' awesome this would turn out if Statham were to get this role.

So good! Can't wait. Huge fan of the games. Will we quite possibly get the only other great video game adaptation? (Silent Hill being the other) I hope so.

I've only played the game once a long time ago, but the trailer seems in line with it. Olyphant looks weird with no hair. Might see this when it hits dvd.
