Djimon Hounsou At a recent junket for NEVER BACK DOWN, intensely talented actor Djimon Hounsou revealed to the IESB that he'll be soon be starring in a comic book trilogy - an apparent dream of his. And while he wouldn't reveal what said comic book trilogy is, those astute Latino bastards at the IESB have posed some rather intriguing possibilities of what film and character he could be talking about. First of all, they posit that perhaps he was talking about playing The Black Panther in Tim Story's soon-to-be announced FANTASTIC FOUR 3. Story had apparently previously mentioned an interest in having Hounsou play the role in one of the F4 films. And, truth is, he'd be hella perfect for the role. Not just due to similar looks and origins but due to all around badassery. The second and quite intriguing possibility is…well, you'll just have to click HERE to find out.

Extra Tidbit: Hounsou apparently learned English by watching television. And they say TV rots your brain?! Pfffft!

TIM STORY SUCKS!
Hounsou is hands down a perfect choice for Black Panther. But if he is going to be in a horrific Tim Story movie, then i don't want to see it. Hounsou is very talented and his talents should not be wasted with a guy like Story.

Hansou is the Black Panther. That would be a great casting choice for a character that I've been waiting to see on the silver screen.

I also learned how to speak English by watching television (it really worked, except for the side effect of me speaking in adverts for the first year or so). Oh, and regarding this news, he's a class act so I see nothing wrong with this news.

he said hell be staring in a comic book inspired trilogy, and if it was fantastic four, it means 3 more of those, and theres no way they have greenlighted 3 of them at once,
so the Tintin possibility mentionned makes a lot more sense, since it is planned to be a trilogy and seems more like the quality of movies Houn...

Not Panther, God of War
If they were to ever make the God of War video game series (an incredibly badass series by the way) I always thought Hounsou would be perfect as Kratos.

But who knows if that will ever happen. Hounsou as the Black Panther is some damn good casting though, and coming from the Fantastic Four franchise that is really saying something. Too bad it's a Fantastic Four movie he's premie...

Eh, whatever. Black Panther as a character was always pretty "blah" to me. But hey, maybe it'll make a good movie. At least Hounsou fits the part.
